Sustainable Livelihoods
Strengthening Communities Through Nature-Based Livelihoods
We support nomadic herders, farming communities, women, youth, and rural families across Ladakh by promoting livelihood opportunities that are connected to local culture, traditional knowledge, and environmental conservation.
Our work focuses on strengthening income-generating activities such as livestock management, barley cultivation, traditional agriculture, local handicrafts, eco-tourism, pashmina, sheep wool, yak wool, yak cheese, goat milk, and community-based enterprises.
By supporting sustainable livelihoods, we help communities improve economic resilience while protecting fragile Himalayan ecosystems and preserving traditional ways of life.
